Head Coach – South High Lady Bison Swimming





  • Head coach for both the Lady Bison Swimming and Bison Boys Swimming programs.
  • Coach Garman has been coaching for 15 years now.
  • Coach Garman is the original swim coach for South and has been coaching since South first fielded a swim team in the 2009-10 school year which was the year before South opened their doors (2010-11). 
  • Coach Garman competed in swimming at Laramie High School.
  • Coach Garman competed in swimming for the University of Washington and the University of Wyoming.
  • Coach Garman got into coaching for the love of the sport and the life lessons it entails.
  • Coach Garman likes coaching because of the relationships you build with your athletes and watching each athlete progress.
  • Coach Garman also coaches the Johnson Junior High School swim team as well as the CCA Cutthroats (club swim team).
  • His favorite sport outside of the one he coaches is hockey.
  • His favorite professional sports team is the Colorado Avalanche.
  • His favorite sports movie is Happy Gilmore.
  • Coach Garman still needs to find a hobby when he isn’t coaching. 
  • His overall goal is to develop great athletes and better people. Would love to see the program competing at the highest level year in and year out.
